FAQ
What is the difference between Lionscool V3 and V4?
The V4 brings significant improvements over the V3 for enhanced stability, durability, and user experience:
Reduced Gaps and Tolerances: We've minimized the gaps between components, creating a tighter connection for superior stability and equal tension on both legs.
Strengthened Weight Arm Junction and Balanced Weight Horn Design: The connection between the weight arm and frame is reinforced for enhanced durability and lifetime alignment stability. The weight horn is now a dual-sided design, effectively preventing weight plate slippage during use.
Upgraded Aluminum Pulley: The pulley has been upgraded to a durable aluminum one, ensuring lifetime longevity.
More Flexible Adjustment: The V4 features 9 adjustment positions on the cam (compared to 7 on the V3). The foot roller can now be freely rotated to adjust its orientation inward or outward and then fixed with a peg for personalized comfort.
Fit for Taller Users: We've lengthened the movement arm and foot roller frame to ensure the foot roller pad comfortably conforms to the ankles of taller individuals.
Enlarged Base: The rectangular base is enlarged with extended rear feet, significantly increasing overall stability.
What muscles do leg extensions work?
The leg extension is an isolation exercise that specifically targets the quadriceps femoris, the large muscle group at the front of your thigh. This group is composed of four distinct muscles: the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, and vastus intermedius. All four of these muscles work together to perform knee extension, which is the primary movement of this exercise, making it highly effective for building strength and definition in your quads.
Are leg extensions bad for knees?
Using the Lionscool Leg Extension is a highly effective way to isolate and strengthen the quadriceps muscles at the front of your thighs. We understand the common concern regarding knee safety. When performed correctly, the leg extension is a safe exercise. The key is to select an appropriate weight and to avoid using momentum or jerky motions. At the peak of the movement, keep your knees slightly bent instead of fully locking them to ensure the tension remains on your muscles, not your joints. By focusing on slow, controlled movements, you can effectively build quadriceps strength. Stronger quads actually contribute to greater knee stability, which helps protect the joint. If you have a history of knee injuries, we recommend consulting with a doctor or physical therapist before use.
